PANONO_FRONT_PRESS_WEBThe Panono does have a very unique feature; the 360 camera is made to throw it! Yeah! The Panono looks like a ball and you an throw in the air.  The cameras will automatically trigger at their highest point, giving you the perfect panoramic shot without ghosting effects. You can also hold the camera in your hand and use it manually, by pressing the button or remotely via the Panono app.

PANONO_FRONT_DETAIL_PRESS_WEBThe Panono is a 360 x 360 degree camera with 36 separate cameras that are placed in a spherical housing. Together they good for a stunning 108 megapixel image. This is of course the resolution  of the 36 images combined. The software does this all automatically. The camera reacts to motion and knows where the highest point is reached and snaps automatically. If the ball moves or vibrates too much it will take a picture. You can also choose to operate the camera using a remote  App on your smartphone or simply press the button when you hold the camera in your hand. The housing is splash-proof, but the camera is not suitable for use under water.

What quality can you expect from 36 cameras and more than 100 megapixel for less than 600 euros? Actually the quality looks quite nice, it is not outstanding, but if we look at the examples it will do for most family photos. When you zoom in, you will notice that the picture is not entirely clear, but for a nice Google Cardboard or Oculus Rift experience it is more than enough.  The stitching is remarkably well done by the software, there are no differences in exposure and white balance. The camera performs best with daylight. Focusing will not work with the Panono, because the lenses provide a fixed focal length.PANONO_EVOLUTION_PRESS_WEB

The Panono looks like an amazing product. It’s shaped like a ball and you can throw it in the air. It lets you make beautiful panorama pictures from high above. A creative fun way to make the most impossible pictures. On the other hand you have to compromise on quality and it is not possible to make video recordings. The price tag of 599 euros is low as you look at the specifications. We can’t wait to test the Panono and write an in depth review. If you want to know more or pre-order the Panono you can visit: https://www.panono.com.

Robbert As some of you may know, I have been suffering from the aftermath of a traffic accident, a severe case of COVID-19, and a transient ischemic attack (TIA). These events have taken a toll on my physical and mental well-being, and I can no longer keep up with the demands of running a VR website and channel. I want to thank you all for your support and feedback over the years. You have been an amazing community and I have enjoyed sharing my passion for VR and gaming with you. I hope you will continue to enjoy VR and explore its possibilities. I will leave the website and channel online for now, so you can still access the content I have created. However, I will not be posting any new blogs, videos, or news. I hope you understand and respect my choice.
